Calling all calendar contributors!

Hi everybody! I hope your summer is off to a great start. As usual, I’m working hard on the next edition of both You Had One Job! and Animals Being Derps day-to-day calendars. Now is the time when I’m gathering the funniest images from around the internet, so send ’em if you’ve got ’em!

If you’d like to see your picture of a beloved pet, a neighbor from the great outdoors, or a zoo-dwelling superstar featured in the 2027 Animals Being Derps calendar, please send your high resolution image to me at calendar.contributions@gmail.com.

Likewise, send your best work/job-related fails or pics of general ineptitude to see them featured in the 2027 You Had One Job! daily calendar.

You’ll see your photo credit printed right next to the image, and if your image makes the cover or box, I’ll happily send you a free copy.

2026 calendars are coming soon!

The next editions of You Had One Job!, Animals Being Derps, and the all-new Minor Mischief calendars are on their way to a store near you.

The 2025 Calendars Have Landed, Just in Time For Prime Day!

Guys, there are a few things I am really, truly not good at doing. (Regularly updating this blog is clearly one of them!)

But anyway, one of my biggest failings, especially on this hallowed Amazon Prime Day, is promoting my own work. I’m great at doing the work; getting it in on time, all that important stuff… but when it comes to letting people know I made something and asking them to consider buying it… I suck.

So, this is me, trying to be a good doobie. Also, if you were kind enough to allow me to feature one of your photos, this is your notification that the calendars are officially out there in the world! Thanks to everyone who helped make this project possible! I hope you enjoy reading my original captions and getting a giggle every day of the year. These days, I think a guaranteed daily laugh is more important than ever!

While I’m here, I’d like to announce even more good news on the calendar front! Not only have Animals Being Derps and You Had One Job! been renewed for 2026, but I’m also working on a brand new daily calendar for 2026 called Mildly Vandalized. It’s based on the hilarious subreddit of the same name, and it features funny and sometimes kind of pervy (yet largely innocent and definitely safe for work!) graffiti and other harmless acts of silliness. Watch How A Simple Smile Brings Classic Art Portraits To Life.

In classic portraiture, the artist’s subjects often pose stoically without smiling, resulting in a lot of very serious-looking characters looking down their long, aristocratic noses at museum-goers. In the clip below, someone spliced their own mouth over several unsmiling art portraits, then made a gif so the paintings burst into 3-D life, right before our very eyes.

It’s incredible to see how the lower half of the face transforms the eyes, bringing light, joy, humor, and other emotions to these painted faces. Check it out.

Work is never easy, and if given the chance, most of us would never do it. Since living a life of leisure sans responsibilities (or pants) is not feasible for most of us, we opt for the second best option: working from home.

Working remotely isn’t always a walk in the park, but it sure beats making small talk with the office cat lady who never stops talking for 8 hours a day. At home, we get to be the cat ladies, which is a huge improvement, and it’s a job we were born to do.

Merlin Is The Worst Coworker You’ll Ever Love.

Having worked in an office environment for more than half my life now (now that’s a sad fact!), I can personally attest that there’s always someone at work that rubs you the wrong way. Remote workers aren’t even exempt from this rule. After all, if you don’t think people can be annoying online, this must be your first day on the internet!

20 Pics Taken From Confusing Perspectives That Take A Minute To Figure Out.

Someone recently took a picture of me standing with three friends. When I looked at it later, I realized that the angle of the shot made it look like my friend’s arm was mine, so I was folding the whole group into a gigantic hug with my extra-long ape arms. We all laughed when we saw it, and it reminded me of all the funny shots on the “Confusing Perspective” subreddit.

I Double-Dog-Dare You Not To Smile.

As a lifelong animal lover, I have shared my home with a lot of pets over the years. I can say without hyperbole that getting a new puppy or kitten is one of the most exciting moments of a pet person’s life. Seeing that sweet face for the first time, holding a future best friend in your arms… it’s just the best.

Little Girl Stumps Interviewer With Classic Dad Joke.
